The School Horses

Lindinhof has some wonderful school horses available for lessons. Some are great on the lunge line, while others offer the opportunity to learn upper level dressage. Lucky us to have some really neat horses! All school horses are also available for lease; please contact Megan regarding our lease options

Fasching is a handsome Westfalen bay gelding who is a seasoned competitor and fantastic schoolmaster. He was competed at PSG/I-1 levels by Megan. Fasching is gentle enough for beginners but educated enough for our more advanced students. He has a generous temperament and is known for his patience with new students. Be sure to bring him lots of treats!

Baby Hughy

  • Color: Dark Bay
  • Breed: Dutch Warmblood

No Doubt (a.k.a. Baby Hughy) is Megan’s personal competition horse. She purchased him as a small tour horse and then trained him to Grand Prix level; they competed Grand Prix for the first time in 2012. They competed successfully at Dressage at Devon 2007 and were the WDCTA Grand Champions at PSG and I-1 levels. In 2009, they were 10th in the final rankings of the Brentina Cup. In 2011, he started a long-term lease partnership with student Lisa; in 2012 they competed at the USDF Region 2 Championships at 3rd level, and Lisa earned her USDF Bronze Medal. In 2013, Lisa earned her USDF Silver medal and 2 scores towards her USDF Gold. Looking forward to watching her capture the Gold in 2014!

A Gold Card (a.k.a. Gold) is a Hannoverian gelding. He helped Megan earn her USDF Gold Medal in 2010; they were also NEWDA’s Grand Champions at I-2 and Grand Prix, and WDCTA Grand Champions at I-2. In 2011 and 2012, he and student Callie competed through to Grand Prix, and Callie earned her USDF Silver on him.

Wellington (a.k.a. Wellie) is a ’93 Warmblood Gelding, flea-tick grey and standing 17.1 hands. He has competed at Fourth Level and schools some of the I-1 movements. He has helped students Jessie and Shea earn their USDF Bronze Medals and is a wonderful lesson horse.

Milo is a 15.3h, 7-year-old chestnut Holsteiner cross. He has shown to 4th level and is schooling all of the PSG. Milo is great on the lunge, and is known for helping riders find their seat. In 2011, Milo helped student Jen earn scores toward her USDF Bronze. In 2013, He helped student Sarah earn her USDF Bronze medal and scores towards her Silver!
